The region continues to attract attention to its exceptional quality of life, with a recent Wall Street Journal feature recognizing the area’s desirability and growth, well surpassing other Colorado resort communities. From its world-class outdoor recreation to its vibrant local culture and strong sense of community, Crested Butte continues to stand out as a place where people want to put down roots.
The Crested Butte real estate market continues to demonstrate resilience, with sales and prices increasing despite slowdowns in neighboring resort markets. Through the third quarter, North Valley home sales reached 66, up 16% from last year, while the average home price remains near $3 million—approximately one-third of the cost of homes in comparable resort destinations. Mt. Crested Butte condominiums reached a new milestone, with average prices exceeding $950,000 for the first time. Land sales totaled 34 parcels, down 33% from last year, with average prices near $700,000. These trends reflect continued demand, strong property values, and opportunities for buyers and sellers alike.
